Great Book Sale
In September, the junior and senior Student Representative Councils (SRC) held a Great Book Swap to raise money for Indigenous Literacy Day. This was a great success, and thanks to everyone’s generous donations, we ended up with an abundance of books left over.
To raise even more money for the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, our junior and senior SRC will be holding a Great Book Sale on Tuesday, December 4th. The sale will be held under the junior COLA during lunch times (junior lunch 11:10-11:45, senior lunch 1:00-1:50pm). All books will be available to purchase for $1.
All monies raised will be donated to the Indigenous Literacy Foundation, whose purpose is to make a difference to the lives of Indigenous families by not only gifting thousands of new culturally appropriate books – with a focus on early literacy and first language – but also by running programs to inspire the communities to tell and publish their own stories
For any enquiries, please contact your SRC representative, Meg Saintilan or Tahlia Sanders.
