Student Representative Council (SRC)

at Alex Park

 

The Junior Student Representative Council (SRC) at Alexandria Park Community School comprises of representatives from each class. The SRC represent student views and meet weekly to discuss ideas and plan for student led initiatives and fundraisers.

The junior SRC have been involved in a number of student leadership initiatives including National Bandana Day, the Indigenous Literacy foundation Book Swap, collecting food for a local food drive and raising money for the ‘Adopt a farmer’ campaign.

The senior Student Representative Council (SRC) at Alexandria Park Community School comprises of representatives from each class and is led by the school captains. The SRC represent student views and meets weekly to discuss ideas, issues and concerns from the student body. 

The SRC advises the Principal and Deputy Principal on student matters and work with the school community to implement change.

The SRC have been involved in a number of student leadership initiatives including organising Harmony Day activities, and fundraising for charities such as CanTeen and Legacy. 

The SRC act as ambassadors for the school and role models for other students. Students who take part in the SRC gain valuable experience in leadership and sharing responsibility which enhances their later careers.
