Term 1 Week 4 Principal Update

Dear Parents and Carers, All Year 7 parents and carers are invited to attend a meeting to provide you with the opportunity to meet the teachers of your son/daughter. At this meeting the teachers will briefly explain to you their plans and expectations for their curriculum programs, assessment, behaviour standards and homework for this year. Please bear in mind that this is not a parent/teacher interview. Parent Teacher Night has been scheduled for Term 2. The P&C would like to invite the Year 7 parents to afternoon tea in the Denzil at 4:45pm.

Alexandria Park Community School's annual High School Swimming Carnival forms part of the school's annual house competition and fosters peer relations across the school community. The Swimming Carnival consists of a variety of swimming races including 50m and 1 00m swimming races, team relays and novelty races. Students have the option to make their own way to the venue OR nominate to go by bus from school under staff supervision. Students travelling by school bus will need to arrive at school no later than 8:00am. Concluding the carnival the bus will depart from the venue at 2:20pm for a 2:50 pm arrival at school. If you require this service a fee of $14 will need to be paid prior to the carnival. Please indicate on the consent form if your child requires this service to secure a seat on the bus. A polite reminder that parents/ carers of students making their own way to and from the venue carry responsibility for their safety and wellbeing during travel. A permission note with be sent via SchoolBytes with the opton to pay for the Carnival ($10) and the bus ($14) if required. In 2024, P&C Meetings will take place on the first Wednesday of the month during school terms only at 6PM. Meetings will be a combination of in-person and online and you will be advised beforehand and a link provided if joinng online.
