How to Enrol:

To check whether you are in our school catchment area, please go here.

If you are local to our school, you can enrol online here or  fill out a paper enrolment form which can be found here.

We will also need to sight your child's birth certificate, proof of address (such as a utility bill/drivers licence) and an immunisation statement to finalise enrolment.

Online enrolment can also be used for out-of-area enrolment.

Please note that out-of-area enrolment procedures are subject to the department’s enrolment policy.

Enrolment applications are finalised at the school. All Out of Area enrolments  will go to an Out of Area Enrolment Panel and Parents will be advised of the outcome in Term 4.

Kindergarten Transition Information

Orientation information

Orientation is a process that takes place each year for the children and their families that will be attending kindergarten in the following year. At Alex Park we conduct many information sessions throughout the year. Each session contains different information surrounding Alex Park, school readiness, curriculum information and starting school.

In-School Orientation Visits

Orientation visits help students become familiar with the school environment. We strongly encourage all enrolled children to attend orientation visits.

Best Start:

Best Start Kindergarten Assessment is a literacy and numeracy assessment conducted for all Kindergarten students in the first five weeks of school. There is no need to prepare your child for this assessment other then expressing to them that they will be having a little visit to their new school and having a meeting with a kindergarten teacher. The teacher conducting the Best Start assessment will be one of our early year educators. Individual appointments for your child’s Best Start assessment will be assigned to you in December or January prior to your child starting school. Expect to receive your Best Start information in the mail. If you do not receive a Best Start date please contact the school.
