CONFIRMATION OF ENROLMENT IN YEAR 7 2019
AND TRANSITION INFORMATION

Dear parents and carers,
Congratulations on your child's placement into Year 7 for 2019.
This letter is to inform you of important information regarding your child’s transition into Year 7 at Alexandria Park Community School.
Orientation/Information Day
Our Orientation/Information Day is scheduled for Tuesday 4th December from 9.00am – 12.00pm. Both parents/carers and students are welcome to attend.
Here is some important information about this day:
You will receive an Orientation/Information Day package containing important information when you arrive on the day. This package contains a scheduled order of events for the day, a parent/carer information handbook and student information handbook.
There will be some time allocated during the morning to purchase school uniforms. There will also be time after the event to purchase uniforms from the shop. Our uniform shop is open each school day from 8.30am - 10.30am and you are welcome to come any day to purchase uniforms for 2019.
On Orientation/Information Day, we ask that you pay your school contributions for 2019. These are as follows:
General contribution – $100
Technology - $20
Visual arts - $45
Sport - $25
Camp - $285

You can pay using cash, cheque, eftpos or credit card. Cheques are to be made payable to "Alexandria Park Community School"; payments can also made via the school's website through the Parent Online Payment (POP) at www.alexparkcs-c.schools.nsw.edu.au.You can also follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/alexandriaparkcommunityschool.
Transition Events
We will be holding taster lessons for all future Year 7 students to come and get to know each other and participate in a mini lesson with some Alexandria Park Community School teachers. These will be held on Friday 30th November and Friday 14th December from 1.30 – 3.00pm. Parents/carers will need to attend with their child and will be provided with a space to wait for their child while they enjoy the lesson. However, parents of students who are currently enrolled at Alexandria Park Community School are welcome to attend but not required.
This year, we will be hosting our first Lonely Hearts Club on Thursday 22nd November from 1:30pm – 3pm. This is a session for students who are the only person coming from their primary school. It will be an opportunity for them to get to know staff and students to help them feel more comfortable about starting a new school. Parents/carers will need to attend with their child and will be provided with a space to wait for their child while they enjoy the workshop.
