We know that our students learn best when engaged in stimulating, inclusive and challenging activities so as to develop and enhance their mathematical skill.  Our students learn best when being able to discover and appreciate the dynamic nature of Mathematics through mathematical modelling so as to conceptualise complex ideas that change under varying conditions. Students develop a depth of understanding through visual representation and creating models using software such as Geogebra, Wolfram Alpha, Video simulations, Google SketchUp and Excel.

They also learn when given the opportunity to collaborate with their peers in Mathematics learning through such collaborative learning platforms as Edmodo and other web 2.0 tools.

Our achievements we are most proud of in Mathematics include our promotion of the love of Mathematics learning for all students. We pride ourselves on supporting all students to achieve to the best of their ability and celebrate student success and achievement. We celebrate International Pi Day and Fibonacci Day and encourage participation in a variety of Mathematics competitions.

We have almost 100% of students enrol to study Mathematics for their HSC. We have achieved consistently strong HSC results. In 2013, all students who studied Mathematics Extension 1 and Extension 2 achieved in the top two bands in these courses.
