K-2 Cross-Country Carnival

Alexandria Park Community School will be holding a Cross Country Carnival event on Tuesday 8th April at Alexandria Park Oval. Students compete in the age range that they are turning THIS year (even if they have not had their birthday yet).

K-2 students will begin at 9:30am and finish at approximately 11.10am for Lunch 1. Kindergarten will run 2 laps, Year 1 will run 3 laps and Year 2 (who haven’t turned 8) will run 4 laps. Year 2 students who are turning, or have turned 8 this year will attend the 3-6 carnival.     

There are no costs involved; however, this permission note is to be returned to your class teacher as soon as possible. A permission note has been emailed to parents via SchoolBytes.

All students are expected to participate and can walk the distance if they choose. Students are invited to wear their house colours on the day to show support for their team. Students must bring a drink bottle, hat and lunch. *The canteen will be operating as normal*

Wet Weather: In the case of wet weather, a decision will be made by 8:20am and parents will be notified by an SMS if cancelled. A notification sent out and the carnival will be postponed until Tuesday 6th May.
