Our school offers a range of spaces, tools and resources to support student learning. Whether it’s for study, sport, creativity or technology, our learning environments and resources give students what they need to succeed.
Our school facilities
We offer a range of learning environments. They help students stay engaged, build confidence and enjoy every part of their school day. Our facilities may include:
- bright and comfortable classrooms
- a well-stocked library for reading and research
- science labs for hands-on experiments
- sports fields for fitness and fun
- art and music and performances spaces for creative learning
- state of the art kitchens
- drama, music and technology facilities
- indoor basketball courts and performance space
- multipurpose synthetic pitch that meets world Rugby and FIFA standards
- modern computer lab for digital learning.
Resources and technology
Our school uses modern technology and digital learning tools. Our resources help students learn, create and stay connected. As a NSW public school, we have access to shared programs and tools available to all schools in the state.

Hiring our facilities
Alexandria Park Community School provides an important educational and social focus for our local community. Parents and community members are encouraged to participate in the life of our school. Community groups also access the facilities of Alexandria Park Community School (out of hours) for appropriate purposes, by negotiation with the principal and where they have no impact on educational and school run programs.
Any community user should familiarise themselves with the Community Use Agreement before undertaking an application for the use of facilities and before signing any agreement. The Community Use Agreement can be viewed at

You may apply to use our school’s facilities for appropriate purposes provided your hiring the facility does not interfere with our teaching and learning programs. Facilities are not hired during school operating hours or 8am – 3:00pm.
Hiring the Getiela (sports field)
The Getiela sports field is a shared use facility between Alexandria Park Community School and City of Sydney council.
The field is operated by the school Monday – Friday 7am to 6pm (excluding public and school holidays). Enquiries about hiring the field during these hours can be made direct with the school. Please note that the field is not available for hire during school hours.
Outside these hours (weekdays 6pm-10pm, weekends 8am to 8pm and school holiday periods) these facilities are operated by council. Applications for the hire of the Getiela sports field during these hours should be made directly to City of Sydney Council via this link
